Title: Connectivity Beyond Proximity
Keyword: network, gateway, power
Description: For visitors arriving in London from other parts of Europe by train, the first sight they are greeted with is King’s Cross St. Pancras. The King’s Cross development, hence, is intended to be highly connected to the rest of Europe because of its status as a central railway station. Furthermore, it draws power from such network of connectivity, ly for its commercial success. However, it does little to resolve the issue of social housing shortage in London, which is direst to local residents. In this collage, we break the rigid geographical position of reality to portray an intimate connectivity between King’s Cross and other European countries. This connection may be even more robust than between King Cross’s and its adjacent boroughs, namely Camden and Islington.
